Description
Muscular organs – nutrient-rich and well-tolerated
Muscular organs such as hearts, lungs, rumens, and stomachs are considered particularly high-quality muscle meat in species-appropriate feeding. They are rich in protein, low in fat, and provide important vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. Due to their firm structure, they promote chewing and support dental care – ideal also for sensitive or allergy-prone animals.
Advantages at a glance:
High-quality, lean protein.
Rich in natural enzymes and minerals.
Easily digestible and processed in a way that preserves nutrients.
Popular with dogs and cats due to its strong flavor.
These wholechicken gizzards(chicken gizzards) are a valuable source of protein for dogs and cats –fatty, well-tolerated, and rich in natural nutrients. They are loosely frozen, which makes portioning particularly easy.
Muscular organs should make up about 25% of the animal portion of a daily BARF ration. In combination with muscle meat, bones, and plant components, this results in a balanced, natural diet.
Always feed your pet a complete BARF meal in the correct ratio of muscle meat, bones, and offal – supplemented with seasonal vegetables, fruits, and necessary additions.
Use a BARF calculator – for example, the one by Nadine Wolf – and a digital kitchen scale to measure each component precisely for the perfect bowl for your four-legged friend!
